Solar terms affect traditional year and month boundaries. Treating them as the first day of a civil calendar month can change boundary-date results.

시간을 모르면 빈칸으로 둡니다. 폴라리스의 간이 일간 읽기는 정오 기준을 명시하며 시주나 전체 명식이 확정된 결과로 표시하지 않습니다.
Leave the time blank when it is unknown. The simplified day-stem reading declares its noon reference and does not establish a complete hour pillar.
서양점성술
춘분점을 기준으로 황도를 30도씩 나눈 열두 구간입니다. 현대 천문학의 별자리 경계와 같지 않으며 폴라리스의 서양 별자리 읽기는 이 방식을 사용합니다.
Twelve equal 30-degree sectors measured from the equinox. These are not the irregular astronomical constellation boundaries; Polaris uses them for Western signs.

A repeated digit sum of the birth date. Polaris reduces date-based values to 1–9; the result does not determine life outcomes.

생일의 월·일과 기준연도의 숫자를 합산해 1~9로 줄입니다. 개인일수와 다르며 같은 해에는 기준일의 월·일만 바꿔도 변하지 않습니다.
Birth month/day plus the reference year, reduced to 1–9. It differs from the personal day and remains stable within that reference year.

개인연도수에 기준월을 더해 개인월수를, 여기에 기준일을 더해 개인일수를 구합니다. 각 단계마다 1~9로 줄이는 자체 고정 규칙입니다.
Add the reference month to the personal year, then the reference day to that result. Each stage reduces to 1–9 under the declared Polaris convention.

An optional calculation from supported Latin letters, using all letters and vowels separately. No soul-urge value is invented without vowels; the original name is not stored in a result.

자미두수의 주요 상징 별입니다. 천문 관측 천체의 위치와 같은 뜻으로 쓰지 않으며 궁위에 주성이 없다고 임의로 별을 채우지 않습니다.
A principal symbolic star in Zi Wei Dou Shu, not necessarily an observed celestial position. An empty palace is not filled with an invented star.
자미두수
해당 궁에 주성이 없는 배치입니다. 다른 궁과의 관계를 살펴야 하는 전통 해석이 있으나, 지원하지 않는 종합 해석을 확정적으로 만들지 않습니다.
A palace with no principal star. Some traditions examine other palaces, but unsupported synthesis is not fabricated as a definite result.
